Scholar Athlete
Every spring, WBYA provides financial scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have participated in WBYA through their youth. Graduates at Downingtown West, Downingtown East and STEM are welcome to apply through an application process directed by the high school guidance office. Applications typically become available in March or April, and must be returned to the Guidance Office completed in full by the date specified. Awards are determined by the WBYA Scholar Athlete Committee, and customarily distributed at Senior Award night.
A candidate may apply for the WBYA Scholar-Athlete Award if he/she is graduating in the current year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and will be attending a two or four year College, University, or Vocational – Technical School during the upcoming school year. Candidates must have participated in WBYA sports for at least 3 seasons.
Hardship Scholarships
WBYA offers confidential financial assistance to families who may need help paying registration fees. Please contact us at office@wbya.com if you’re interested.
